Lathe programmer-operator — Douglas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Douglas County, Nebraska. You will work at an auto-components manufacturing unit. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg Day-to-day duties: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet Rotating shifts.
