Abattoir worker — Lee County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Lee County, Alabama. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; season and marinate meat on request; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
