Milling machinist — Umatilla County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a milling machinist in Umatilla County, Oregon. The job is in a die and mould making unit. Your main tasks: • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to grind and set HSS cutters At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
