Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Day to day you will watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL).
