Pastry baker — Falkirk

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pastry baker in Falkirk, Scotland. The job is at a neighbourhood confectionery. The role involves: • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
