Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Kane County, Illinois. On the job you will handle: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
