Wood machinist wanted in Bailey County

Now hiring: we are hiring a wood machinist in Bailey County, Texas. The job is at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage You will measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
