Fabricator-welder — Kanam

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Kanam, Plateau State. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Part-time with flexible hours.
