Mobile crane operator • Houston County, Alabama

Immediate opening: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in Houston County, Alabama. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
