Gantry crane operator • Douglas County, Kansas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Douglas County, Kansas. Your main tasks: • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes 2+ years on the tools preferred.
