Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Buncombe County, North Carolina. You will be based at a civil contractor's yard. Requirements: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters On the job you will handle: • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
