Now hiring: gantry crane operator (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Jack County, Texas. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Day-to-day duties: • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands Part-time with flexible hours.
