Immediate opening: furnace operator (Sokoto State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Goronyo, Sokoto State. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around ₦300,000 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
