Steel erection rigger wanted in Pierce County

The role involves: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
