Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in Austin County, Texas. The job is at a busy bakery. What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • 2+ years' experience as a baker Day-to-day duties: • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight 2+ years on the tools preferred.
