Immediate opening: we are hiring a power press operator in Rotherham, England. You will work on the press shop floor. Day to day you will fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; set up and change stamping dies and tooling. Ideal candidate: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
