Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Marathon County, Wisconsin. Day to day you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; season and marinate meat on request; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
