Ideal candidate: • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Day-to-day duties: • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
