Immediate opening: brick and block layer (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Wayne County, Kentucky. You will work on a new-build development. Your main tasks: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience.
