Vacancy available: we are hiring a retail butcher in Angus, Scotland. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher On a typical shift you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts.
