Your main tasks: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
