Immediate opening: we are hiring a steam press operator in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. You will be based in a garment export house. You should bring 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory; able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine; comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment. The role involves: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around ₹30,500 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
