Vacancy available: we are hiring a head butcher in Mora County, New Mexico. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate 1+ years on the tools preferred.
