Join our team: we are hiring a cnc production machinist in Darlington, England. The job is on the CNC turning shop floor. Day to day you will change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; load and index turning tools in the turret. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Overtime paid at a premium rate.
