Vacancy available: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Dougherty County, Georgia. The job is at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day to day you will machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control.
