Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Thomas County, Kansas. You will be based at an in-store supermarket bakery. Day-to-day duties: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
