Lathe programmer-operator • Mobile County, Alabama

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Mobile County, Alabama. You will work at a busy machine shop. Ideal candidate: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code On the job you will handle: • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
