Urgent requirement: hoist operator (Minnesota)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a hoist operator in Murray County, Minnesota. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Requirements: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Strong attention to safety and load limits The role involves: • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $3,100 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
