Immediate opening: horticulturist (Oregon)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Linn County, Oregon. The job is on a golf course. On the job you will handle: • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs You should have: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
