Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Fulton County, Illinois. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. The role involves clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends.
