Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Crawford County, Kansas. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Your main tasks: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Season and marinate meat on request • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
