Great opportunity: we are hiring a retail butcher in Karnes County, Texas. The job is in a meat processing plant. You will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Six days a week, one day off.
