Vacancy available: we are hiring a hoist operator in Brown County, Kansas. You will be based on a high-rise tower crane. On the job you will handle: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Able to read load charts and lifting plans Full-time, day shift.
