You should bring able to read roof pitch and set the falls; a good head for heights and steady balance; a driving licence is an advantage for site travel. Day to day you will torch on bitumen membrane across flat roofs; lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling; carry out leak inspections and patch repairs; erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding; bed and point ridge tiles with mortar; install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
