Immediate opening: lawn care technician (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lawn care technician in McHenry County, Illinois. You will be based in a botanical garden. Day to day you will mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings. What we are looking for: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish Meals and transport allowance provided.
