Finishing presser — Uintah County

Now hiring: we are hiring a finishing presser in Uintah County, Utah. The job is in a busy laundry. Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings 1+ years on the tools preferred.
