Now hiring: we are hiring a retail butcher in Grant County, Minnesota. Day to day you will vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. Requirements: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
