Wood machinist • Duval County, Florida

Great opportunity: we are hiring a wood machinist in Duval County, Florida. You will work on a residential housebuilding project. The role involves measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet. You should have: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
