Now hiring: we are hiring a head baker in Massac County, Illinois. You will be based at a café with an on-site bakery. Requirements: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Day-to-day duties: • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream Part-time with flexible hours.
