Head butcher — Jega

Great opportunity: we are hiring a head butcher in Jega, Kebbi State. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry The role involves: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around ₦6,000 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
