Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Tsanyawa, Kano State. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Your main tasks: • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour Ideal candidate: • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Able to read formwork and structural drawings Rotating shifts.
