Immediate opening: brick and block layer (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Young County, Texas. On a typical shift you will laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 4+ years on the tools preferred.
