Vacancy available: garden maintenance worker (Washington)

Now hiring: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Pend Oreille County, Washington. You will work in a public park. On the job you will handle: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers What we are looking for: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
