Sheet metal welder wanted in Cornwall

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Cornwall, England. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection £6,100 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
