Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Gujba, Yobe State. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. You should have: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Day to day you will run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply.
