You should have: • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Working-at-height / PASMA scaffold ticket an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps • Clean brushes, rollers and spray kit with thinners after each job • Sand and fill walls before applying primer • Hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams • Measure up and work out paint and material quantities • Cut in neat edges along ceilings, cornices and door frames Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
