Now hiring: argon welding operator (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Collin County, Texas. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On the job you will handle: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
