Counter butcher — Fort Bend County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a counter butcher in Fort Bend County, Texas. The job is in a meat processing plant. What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required On the job you will handle: • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
