Catering cook — Clay County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a catering cook in Clay County, Illinois. The job is at a busy restaurant kitchen. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets Day to day you will plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha. $200 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
