Requirements: • Smart, well-groomed appearance and a clean uniform • Clear spoken communication and a polite, friendly manner Day-to-day duties: • Handle guest complaints and escalate to the captain or manager • Pour water, wine and soft drinks and serve from the guest's left • Polish glasses, cutlery and crockery during mise en place • Punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket) • Explain the day's specials and recommend dishes • Raise the bill on the POS and settle cash and card payments Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
